Marukai : The Japanese Walmart?

written by Cherie February 3, 2009

Craving sushi? Japanese trinkets? Well, you are in luck, you don’t have to frequent to Japan for Japanese goodies..The solution? Simply find the nearest Marukai superstore and shop until you drop! For all things Japanese, this is the place to be. Its similar to Walmart in a way, because of the variety of products they hold here. It ranges from Japanese food products, to furniture, to clothing. Japan is known for its extreme lifestyle, their products are very forward thinking and most of them bizarre. Marukai, is colorful, huge, and full of Japanese products. It will take getting used to, all the color, the products are lively, and bright and extreme! It is strange to walk in, and feel like you are actually in Japan. That is the effect that you get from shopping at Marukai! Many Japanese tourist, citizens come here to be reminded of Home. Just like McDonald is to us in another country, it is familiar. Just be aware it is crowded, but it is the norm in both Marukai and Japan. So, if you are craving Sushi for lunch, why not make it? Try something new. So, head on over to the superstore, get all of the ingredients and then get rolling! 😀

Happy Travels! 🙂
